The Daisy of Hope Campaign is a province-wide public awareness and fund raising initiative aimed at ending the vicious cycle of domestic abuse and promoting violence-free living.
The Campaign is conducted by participating women's shelters, and other organizations dedicated to ending domestic violence. It is held annually in May - a month marked by the celebration of Mother's Day. At the heart of the campaign is the daisy, a flower widely recognized as a symbol of hope. During the month of May, cheerful white and yellow daisy pins are available for sale at various locations throughout the communities.
People who buy and wear the pins help the campaign in two ways: through their donation, as well as by their visible show of support.
